Michalina Kulesza is a first-generation American who uplifts her community through public awareness campaigns, community engagement, and leveraging volunteer support in service of the community. Michalina has worked in external relations throughout her career, including representatives in the New York State legislature, political campaigns, and currently, a global nonprofit supporting humanitarian immigrant communities. Michalina currently serves as the Community Engagement Coordinator at the International Rescue Committee in Silver Spring, Maryland. 

Originally from upstate New York, Michalina holds a master’s degree from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy in public administration and has academic focuses in women in government, Spanish and Russian language, and global affairs. She is a 2021 New York Capital District Alumnus and a former collaborator of George Washington University’ Refugee Educational Advancement Lab.
